Ultrasonic Homogenizer (Non-contact) LUHS-B11 FAQ's
  • Labtron Ultrasonic Homogenizer (Non-contact) LUHS-B11 supports simultaneous non-contact processing of up to 16 micro-volume vials or 8 larger-volume tubes, enhancing throughput and operational efficiency. It accommodates a total disruption capacity of 2 liters, making it suitable for both small and mid-scale lab workflows. This allows researchers to process multiple samples with varying volumes in a single run, reducing time and improving productivity. It is ideal for labs handling large sample batches in genomics or biopharmaceutical workflows.

  • The Ultrasonic Homogenizer (Non-contact) LUHS-B11, by using sealed centrifuge tubes within a cup-tip system, eliminates the need for direct probe contact, preventing aerosol formation and cross-contamination. This closed-system design is essential when handling hazardous or pathogenic samples such as Mycobacterium. It minimizes user exposure and maintains sample integrity, making it a valuable asset in microbiology and infectious disease research labs. The unit promotes a cleaner and safer laboratory environment.

  • Labtron's Ultrasonic Homogenizer (Non-contact) LUHS-B11 is frequently used in chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays, DNA shearing for next-generation sequencing, and protein extraction. Its consistent ultrasonic energy ensures uniform fragmentation of biomolecules, crucial for accurate downstream analysis. It is also useful in homogenizing complex emulsions and preparing nanomaterial suspensions. The instrument is widely adopted in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and molecular biology labs.

  • Yes, our Ultrasonic Homogenizer (Non-contact) LUHS-B11 includes real-time temperature display and monitoring to prevent sample overheating during ultrasonic treatment. An optional coolant circulation system can maintain the rotating Eppendorf tube base at approximately 4°C, which is ideal for preserving enzyme activity or preventing DNA degradation. This feature ensures the system can handle delicate samples without compromising their integrity. It is particularly useful for labs conducting temperature-sensitive experiments.

  • The Ultrasonic Homogenizer (Non-contact) LUHS-B11 requires routine checks that should include inspecting the cup chamber for any sample residue and ensuring tubes are properly sealed before use. Regular cleaning of the exterior and tube holders helps prevent contamination buildup. If using the optional coolant system, users should verify coolant levels and flow regularly to maintain optimal temperature control. These practices are to be followed that ensure consistent performance and extend the device’s service life.
