Labtron Muffle Furnace 1200°C features accurate measurement and control of the temperature of K- and S-type thermocouples, providing precise readings. These durable inside linings, made of light-insulating bricks, enhance heat retention and efficiency. Their insulating fire brick material is used for inner and front face insulation, further optimizing heat containment. They use a quartz tube to protect the heating element, ensuring safety. Our furnace has an automatic power cut-off to the heating elements and an alert system if the control unit/control card is overheated, ensuring performance and safety.

This muffle furnace is designed with a highly accurate PID temperature control system and uses a Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) for smooth and precise power regulation. It offers ±1°C temperature accuracy and programmable temperature settings across 30 segments, which allows for detailed control over heating rates, cooling rates, and dwell times. The advanced insulation materials used in its chamber ensure temperature uniformity of ±5°C over 120 mm and ±3°C over 80 mm at high temperatures, making it ideal for applications that demand consistent and controlled thermal environments.
Safety and precision are key features of all Labtron’s product. Our muffle furnace is equipped with an over-temperature alarm system that notifies users in case of excessive temperature rise, allowing for safe, unattended operation. Additionally, it has an automatic power cut-off mechanism that activates when the furnace door is opened, protecting the user from direct exposure to high temperatures. The double-layer steel casing and built-in dual cooling fans also ensure that the external surface stays below 60°C, reducing the risk of burns or accidental contact injuries.
Its insulation system consists of three layers of high-grade ceramic fiber boards, with the innermost layer rated at 1430°C and the middle layer at 1260°C. This multi-layered structure minimizes heat loss, enhances thermal stability, and significantly improves energy efficiency. The superior insulation also helps in achieving rapid heat-up and cool-down rates, maintains uniform chamber temperatures, and extends the overall service life of the furnace by reducing thermal strain on internal components.
Yes, this furnace is engineered to handle various specialized thermal processes, including sintering, ashing, and annealing, with high reliability. Its ability to reach temperatures up to 1100°C with programmable profiles allows users to precisely tailor the thermal conditions to the specific needs of the material being processed. Whether it’s maintaining a consistent temperature for several hours or executing a multi-stage heat treatment routine, the furnace ensures consistent results without temperature overshoots or instability.
Maintenance is minimal but essential for optimal performance. Users should periodically inspect the heating elements, thermocouple, and insulation for any signs of wear or damage, especially after extended usage at high temperatures. Regularly cleaning the chamber of any residue or build-up will help prevent contamination of samples and maintain efficiency. In terms of troubleshooting, common issues such as uneven heating or temperature fluctuations can often be traced back to faulty thermocouples or insulation degradation. The furnace includes safety features like over-temperature alarms and thermocouple failure detection, which help in early identification and correction of such issues.
