Labtron’s Suspended Solids Analyzer is used to measure the concentration of suspended solids in water or wastewater. It provides real-time data to support water treatment, industrial processes, and environmental monitoring. Ideal for analysis and quantification in wastewater treatment plants, industrial effluent monitoring, environmental water testing, aquaculture and fisheries, food and beverage processing, pulp and paper industries.

The Suspended Solids Analyzer typically uses optical methods, such as light scattering or absorption, where a monochromatic light source interacts with particles in the water. The intensity of scattered or transmitted light is measured and converted to a solids concentration. The detector measures transmitted or scattered light depending on the design. The amount of light blocked or scattered correlates with the concentration of suspended solids It converts the optical signal into a suspended solids concentration, usually displayed in mg/L. Using monochromatic light ensures long-term stability with minimal drift.

The Suspended Solids Analyzer provides storage of nearly 100,000 data records. It is equipped with USB cable, for seamless data transfer for backup and analysis. It stores 10 standard curves and 199 measured values, and data will not be lost even when the power is cut off.

The Suspended Solids Analyzer cleaning depends on water quality. In clean water, monthly cleaning may suffice, in dirty or industrial wastewater, more frequent cleaning or an automatic cleaning system may be required. The Suspended Solids Analyzer is built with Anti-corrosive ABS material offering excellent corrosion resistance.
