Labtron Water Vapor Permeability Tester is specialized to measure ability of materials to allow steam to pass through them. They include humidity sensor for accurate moisture measurement in testing environments. Their design features controlled temperature chamber to maintain consistent condition. They utilize high-quality membranes to ensure reliable transmission rates during procedure. Our Water Vapor Permeability Tester is critical for ensuring effectiveness of waterproof materials, breathable fabrics, and dampness barriers in construction.

Labtron’s Water Vapour Permeability Tester is designed to measure the rate at which water vapor passes through barrier materials such as plastic films, aluminum films, PVDC sheets, and rubber sheets. This is essential for industries like food packaging, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and solar energy, where moisture protection is crucial. Using an infrared moisture sensor, the device provides precise and repeatable measurements to ensure materials meet required barrier performance standards.
Our Water Vapour Permeability Tester functions by placing a test sample between two chambers, with one side exposed to a humid environment and the other side to dry nitrogen gas. Due to the humidity difference, water vapor moves through the sample and is carried by the nitrogen gas to an infrared moisture sensor. The sensor detects changes in water vapor concentration, and the device calculates the transmission rate based on the difference in moisture levels.
This Water Vapour Permeability Tester can test a variety of materials, including plastic films, co-extruded films, aluminum composite films, PVDC sheets, metal foil sheets, and rubber sheets. These materials are commonly used in food and pharmaceutical packaging, solar panel encapsulation, and electronics protection, where moisture barrier properties are critical.
Labtron’s Water Vapour Permeability Tester designed for efficiency and can simultaneously test up to three samples. It features three independent test chambers, allowing users to analyze different materials under identical or varying test conditions. This capability is especially beneficial for research laboratories and quality control departments, as it reduces testing time while maintaining high accuracy and reliability.
