Low Speed Centrifuge LLS-B16

Our Low Speed Centrifuge operates at a speed range of 500 to 4000 revolutions per minute (rpm). Users can adjust the speed in increments of 100 rpm, providing precise control over the centrifugation process. This makes it suitable for various laboratory applications requiring low-speed centrifugation.

Labtron’s Low Speed Centrifuge can generate a maximum relative centrifugal force (RCF) of 2146 × g. The RCF determines the separation efficiency of particles within a liquid medium. With this force, the LLS-B16 is effective in processing samples for clinical, research, and industrial purposes.

This Low Speed Centrifuge is compatible with different tube sizes. It can hold six centrifuge tubes with a capacity of either 15 mL or 50 mL. Additionally, it supports 6 blood collection tubes of 2 mL/5 mL/10 mL, also in sets of six. This flexibility allows it to be used for various sample preparation needs in laboratories.

Our Low Speed Centrifuge comes with a programmable timer that allows users to set centrifugation times ranging from 30 seconds to 59 minutes and 50 seconds. This feature ensures consistent operation and helps achieve reproducible results in experiments and sample processing.

Labtron's Low Speed Centrifuge is designed with multiple safety features to protect both the user and the equipment. It has a transparent visual window for monitoring the centrifugation process. A program memory function retains previous settings for convenience. The LCD display allows real-time monitoring of speed and time. Additionally, the centrifuge includes an emergency switch for immediate shutdown, a lid-opening protection system to prevent accidental access during operation, and built-in over-temperature and vibration protection to ensure stable performance.

In a Low Speed Centrifuge, the rotor radius significantly impacts the centrifugal force generated, meaning a larger rotor radius results in a greater centrifugal force at a given speed, leading to faster and more efficient separation of particles in the sample, as the distance from the axis of rotation is greater, thus allowing for better sedimentation of heavier particles to the bottom of the tube.
