They are equipped with condenser working at temperature ranging from -70℃ to -80℃. Their automatic defrost cycles reduce manual intervention and streamline maintenance procedures. They utilize vacuum technology to preserve quality of sensitive materials during drying process. Our Pilot Freeze Dryer is efficient for pharmaceuticals, food storage, and research applications.

Our Labtron Pilot Standard Freeze Dryer is designed for small-scale testing and preservation processes. It is ideal for use in the pharmaceutical, food, and biotech industries, where precise freeze-drying of medicines, biological samples, and food products is essential. By offering a controlled environment and accurate temperature regulation, this unit is particularly suitable for research, product development, and pilot batch production before scaling up to full manufacturing.
Labtron’s freeze dryer uses an advanced shelf system that circulates a heat transfer fluid, combined with silicone oil, to achieve precise temperature regulation. The shelves are engineered for even temperature distribution across the entire surface, with a control range from -50°C to +60°C and a temperature uniformity of ±1°C. This ensures that all vials or bulk materials are dried consistently, reducing the risk of overheating or under-processing any part of the batch.
Safety and operational reliability are central to Labtron’s design. The system includes real-time vacuum pressure monitoring to protect both the samples and equipment. If the pressure doesn’t reach the required setpoint within a certain time, the vacuum pump shuts down automatically and a solenoid valve opens to admit air, stabilizing internal temperatures. It also features lyophilization endpoint detection to determine when the drying process is complete, preventing over-processing. The patented hot air defrost system ensures fast and efficient cleaning of the cold trap.
The unit is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen that offers a modern and intuitive user interface. It supports multi-level user access with distinct login credentials and tracks all user activity, drying data, and alarms. Users can export freeze-drying curves and generate PDF reports directly from the system. The data-saving frequency allows minute-by-minute tracking, which is especially useful for audits and batch records.
This model offers a drying area of 0.54 m² and an ice holding capacity of 18 kg, supporting batch sizes of up to 5 kg of bulk material. The cold trap can reach temperatures as low as -80°C, and the ultimate vacuum level is as low as 1 Pa. It is made with durable stainless steel 304 to comply with GMP standards. The unit operates with air or water cooling options and comes with a standard two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump. It is compact yet powerful, with dimensions of 1480 × 800 × 1730 mm and weighs between 650 to 1200 kg depending on the cooling type.
