Labtron Salt Spray Test Chamber has an adjustable atomizer tower and a spray nozzle spraying system, allowing precise control over spray coverage. These continuous/periodic sprays cover the entire working space, ensuring a diffuse state for even distribution. Their protection against humidifier dry-combustion, over-temperature, over-current, water shortage, and earth leakage ensures safety and reliable operation. They are highly efficient, corrosion-resistant, and designed for a long service life. Our salt spray test chamber has a nichrome heater as the heating element and a saturated air barrel for effective and consistent heating performance.

Labtron Salt Spray Test Chambers are designed to test the corrosion resistance of a wide range of materials, including metals such as steel, aluminum, zinc, and copper, as well as coated materials like painted, galvanized, anodized, and electroplated surfaces. Additionally, plastics with metal coatings, automotive parts, marine components, electronic enclosures, and fasteners can also be tested to assess their durability in harsh environments.
The salt spray test provides a controlled and accelerated evaluation; it does not ideally simulate natural environmental conditions. It is best used for comparative analysis rather than exact lifespan prediction.
Labtron Salt Spray Test Chambers comply with internationally recognized standards to ensure accurate and reliable corrosion testing. These include ASTM B117 (Standard Practice for Salt Spray Testing), ISO 9227 (Corrosion Tests in Artificial Atmospheres), JIS Z 2371 (Japanese Industrial Standard for Salt Spray Testing), and DIN 50021 (German Standard for Salt Spray Testing).
Our chamber generates a fine mist of salt solution (5% NaCl) at a controlled temperature and humidity, simulating corrosive environments. Specimens are exposed for a specified period to assess their resistance to rust and corrosion.
Our Salt Spray Test Chambers are widely used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, marine, electronics, metal finishing, and coatings to assess the durability and corrosion resistance of protective coatings and materials.
Labtron Salt Spray Test Chambers require regular maintenance, including cleaning the chamber interior, refilling the salt solution, inspecting nozzles for clogging, and calibrating temperature and pressure settings. These steps ensure consistent performance, accurate test results, and a longer chamber lifespan.
Our Salt Spray Test Chambers require safety measures such as wearing protective gloves and goggles, ensuring proper ventilation, checking chamber seals to prevent leaks, and disposing of salt solutions as per environmental regulations to ensure safe operation.
Salt Spray Test Chambers support various test types, including Neutral Salt Spray Test (NSS) for standard corrosion testing, Acetic Acid Salt Spray Test (AASS) for more aggressive conditions and Copper-Accelerated Acetic Acid Salt Spray (CASS) for highly accelerated testing using copper chloride.
