Available Range :
Open Cup Flash Point Tester LOFP-A10 : 0 ℃ ~ 360 °CLabtron Open Cup Flash Point Tester features adjustable heating power for precise control over temperature settings, with an electric current meter to display power consumption. These include menu prompts and guided input functions, simplifying the setup process for users. Their electric ignition mode ensures a reliable start-up for smooth operation. They have a detachable ionization ring for easy cleaning, maintenance, and longevity. Our open cup flash point tester has a barometric correction for temperature calibration, ensuring accurate readings and accounting for atmospheric pressure variations.

The Open Cup Flash Point Tester LOFP-A10 uses an electric ignition system, which provides consistent and safe flame application during testing. This method reduces the variability and risk associated with manual ignition. A detachable ionization ring is used to stabilize and direct the flame. Users must ensure that the ignitor and flame ring are clean and properly positioned before each test.
The Open Cup Flash Point Tester LOFP-A10 can be used to determine both the flash point and the fire point of a sample. The flash point is the temperature at which vapors ignite briefly, while the fire point is when the sample sustains burning for at least five seconds. Both are measured in sequence as the temperature continues to rise. This dual capability provides more complete flammability data for oils and fuels.
Labtron Open Cup Flash Point Tester LOFP-A10 is not suitable for fuels with very low flash points such as gasoline or alcohol. It is specifically designed for the Cleveland Open Cup method, intended for materials with flash points above approximately 79°C. Using low-flash point samples may lead to inaccurate results and pose safety risks. For such applications, a closed cup tester like the Pensky-Martens type is more appropriate.
Our Open Cup Flash Point Tester LOFP-A10 is a manually operated device and does not feature automatic flash point detection. The operator is required to monitor the temperature and visually observe the flame to determine both flash and fire points. It includes electric ignition and adjustable heating control for user convenience. This design makes it ideal for labs that prefer hands-on control and cost-effective testing.
Labtron Open Cup Flash Point Tester LOFP-A10 may fail to detect a flash point if certain conditions are not met. First, ensure the correct sample volume is used and that the test flame is functioning properly. Check if the heating rate aligns with the recommended standard, as heating too quickly or too slowly can affect the results. Also, verify that the sample is appropriate for open cup testing and is free from contamination. Cleaning the test cup and inspecting the ignition system often helps resolve the issue.
