Acrylic Glove Box LAGB-A15 FAQ's
  • Yes, Labtron’s Acrylic Glove Box provides internal electrical sockets or feed-through, allowing researchers to operate instruments such as balances, microscopes, heating plates, or stirrers inside the glove box. Electrical outlets are designed to maintain the glove box's sealed integrity, and often use sealed, explosion-proof connectors to prevent ignition risks in sensitive atmospheres like hydrogen or solvent-rich environments.

  • To clean the Acrylic Glove Box, use a soft cloth and mild detergent diluted in water. Avoid using strong organic solvents like acetone or ethanol, as these can cause clouding, cracking, or structural damage to the acrylic material. Regular cleaning is important to prevent dust accumulation and contamination, especially when working with reactive substances. Always dry the interior thoroughly after cleaning to avoid residual moisture build-up.

  • While standard Labtron’s Acrylic Glove Box is primarily designed for positive pressure use with inert gases, several models are vacuum-compatible. The model features thicker acrylic walls, reinforced seams, and specially designed vacuum antechambers and gauges. Vacuum glove box allows for degassing procedures, sample transfers, or material preparation under ultra-low oxygen and moisture levels, critical for highly reactive chemical or material handling.

  • Lead time for Labtron’s Acrylic Glove Box typically ranges between 20 to 30 working days after order confirmation, depending on model specifications and customization needs. Stock availability, shipping arrangements, and additional accessories like antechambers or monitoring systems can influence delivery timelines. It's advisable to confirm lead times with the supplier before ordering, especially if specific certifications or modifications are required.

  • A lightweight and portable model like Labtron’s Acrylic Glove Box is available for laboratories or industrial settings requiring mobility. The glove boxes maintain basic sealing and inert gas purging capabilities while offering easier relocation. Portable models are especially useful for field testing, temporary setups, or teaching labs where flexibility and ease of transportation are necessary without compromising operational performance.
