Pendulum Impact Tester LIPT-A11 FAQ's
  • Labtron’s Pendulum Impact Tester is designed to test the impact resistance and toughness of various thin and flexible materials. It is suitable for testing plastic films, rubber sheets, metal foils, composite membranes, and other similar materials. This makes the tester highly useful in industries such as packaging, electronics, automotive, and materials research, where evaluating the durability and mechanical strength of thin films is essential.

  • Our Pendulum Impact Tester operates by allowing a pendulum with a hemispherical punch to swing and strike the center of a clamped sample. As the pendulum breaks through or deforms the sample, the system electronically calculates the energy absorbed during the impact. The energy measurement is extremely precise, with a resolution of 0.001 J, ensuring reliable and repeatable results. The energy value gives a direct indication of the sample’s resistance to impact under controlled test conditions.

  • The Pendulum Impact Tester supports testing of samples in a standard size: 100 mm × 100 mm. The clamping mechanism is designed to hold the samples securely in place, and the punch system ensures a consistent impact at the center of the sample. This flexibility allows the tester to accommodate a variety of material types and shapes, making it versatile for different laboratory testing protocols.

  • Absolutely! Our Pendulum Impact Tester is equipped with a user-friendly microcomputer control system and an LCD screen that provides a clear, menu-driven interface. The test operation panel is intuitive and guides the user step-by-step through the test process. In addition, the automatic features such as pneumatic sample clamping and electronic pendulum release minimize manual effort and potential operator error, making it very accessible for both beginners and experienced technicians.

  • Yes, the Pendulum Impact Tester is ideal for quality control applications. Its ability to deliver fast, accurate, and repeatable results makes it suitable for routine testing on production lines. The integrated micro printer allows immediate documentation of results, and the tester can store and compare statistical data, which is essential for batch testing and compliance with quality standards in manufacturing environments.
