Ultrapure Water System LUWS-E21 FAQ's
  • The Ultrapure Water System LUWS-E21 is designed with a RS232 interface that enables data logging and integration with lab monitoring systems. This feature allows users to track water usage, quality metrics, and maintenance records digitally. Data can be exported for compliance documentation or internal audits. This makes it easier to maintain quality control, especially in regulated lab environments like GLP, GMP, or ISO-certified laboratories. Advanced models may offer additional connectivity options depending on configuration. This improves traceability and ensures adherence to laboratory best practices.

  • During periods of inactivity, water inside the system may become stagnant and prone to microbial growth. The Ultrapure Water System LUWS-E21 minimizes this risk through auto-flush functions, which periodically circulate water through the purification loop. This helps keep the internal system clean and reduces biofilm formation. Users are also advised to dispense a small amount of water after long idle periods to flush out stagnant water. For extended shutdowns, it's recommended to perform a manual sanitization cycle or drain the system as per the user manual. These built-in features and best practices help ensure water quality is maintained even when not in regular use.

  • Yes, the Ultrapure Water System LUWS-E21 is designed with a modular architecture, allowing it to be customized or upgraded with optional components like ultrafiltration (UF) modules, EDI units, or additional UV/TOC reduction stages. This flexibility makes it ideal for labs that may expand their research scope in the future. Adding modules can improve microbial control, reduce endotoxins, or further lower TOC depending on lab needs. The upgrade process is generally straightforward and can often be done without replacing the entire system. This extendable design makes it a long-term investment for growing labs.

  • The Ultrapure Water System LUWS-E21 uses high-precision sensors to monitor resistivity and conductivity continuously during water production. These sensors are factory-calibrated and located at the final water outlet to ensure readings reflect the actual water being dispensed. The system’s microprocessor performs self-checks and alerts users if a sensor is malfunctioning or if values fall outside of acceptable ranges. Regular calibration checks are recommended for labs with strict quality control needs. By placing the sensors in-line and after the purification process, the system delivers accurate, real-time water quality data. This gives users confidence in the reliability of their experimental results.

  • Yes, the Ultrapure Water System LUWS-E21 can be connected to an external storage tank, which allows users to maintain a larger reserve of purified water. This is especially useful during peak usage periods or in shared lab environments. The system includes level detection sensors to prevent overfilling and ensure safety. It can also automatically refill the tank when levels drop below a preset threshold. This compatibility makes the unit suitable for labs with fluctuating water demands. External tanks with UV protection and sterile vent filters are recommended to maintain water quality during storage.
